Elwood Staffing is a company providing temporary staff and related services through satellite offices throughout Indiana. They had outgrown their corporate offices, and requested Louis Joyner, Architect to provide programming and schematic design services for the project. The building was ultimately completed as a Design-Build project, based upon our design.

Working with the client, we developed the building program, identifying needs and workgroup relationships. Among the needs identified were executive offices, staff work areas, and a temporary staffing office that would operate independently of the corporate offices. The client requested a full basement with training and break areas, and areas for future expansion.

The corporate offices are arranged around a large light well that opens into the basement. This aLlows visual and auditory connections between the various work groups, and permits offices in the basement to have access to natural light and a greater sense of openness to offset the effect of the below-grade location.
